A young girl walked in trying to be discreet, and the lady behind the window said, "I can't hear you, honey, speak up! No need to be shy. Everyone's in here for the SAME thing!". I was absolutely mortified! Was that statement supposed to make this potential patient feel more comfortable about what she was there for? As patient paperwork was filled out and reviewed, anyone who had written anything that could come into legal questioning was called to the window, and coached to write "But I'll be OK", and initial that response. Also the television in the waiting room was on, cutting in and out of a signal; WB20, Maury Povich "Who's the Daddy?" was on. Is this appropriate television for an abortion clinic? The programming continued with Jerry Springer, etc. We weren't able to watch anything more tasteful, as there was giant "DO NOT TOUCH THE T.V." sign over the buttons.
