By BobbyFrank

This is Bobby Frank, the home inspector and owner of R. J. Frank Home Inspections. I wanted to respond to the negative review by "Steven" titled Highly Dissatisfying. This person was NOT my client. This person was the seller of the home who was present at the inspection, which is very unusual since may inhibit the buyer from asking pointed and direct questions about the house. In fact, the seller's name is NOT Steve, that was my buyer's name and he, for some reason, appropriated the home purchaser's name rather than use his own name.My client, the person buying the house and employing me was very happy with my inspection work. This was a situation of a seller not being happy with the thoroughness and depth of my inspection of his house. He failed to realize that I am doing the inspection for the protection of my client, not to make sure the house sells without any problems. After well over 20 years of full time inspections, I have never had a client call me with a complaint after thei ...read more

Mr. Frank really helped me. He inspected my house-to-be, gave us confidence to buy it, and gave us a list of preventive maintenance ideas. Since then, he has helped us with great contractor recommendations. Guess I'm writing this because my experience was much different than another review. I don't usually write positive reviews, but Mr. Frank is an excellent resource for buyers and homeowners. ...read more

Radon Mitigation Ann Arbor (734) 971-0446 | Michigan Radon Remediation

Air Quality Control Agency, Ann Arbor Michigan's leading installer of radon reduction systems, recommends that all homes be tested for radon gas. For more information about reducing your home's radon levels, call (734) 971-0446 or visit www.RadonMitigationAnnArbor.com . Some of the Southeast Michigan towns affected by radon are Ann Arbor, Saline, Dexter, Brighton, Ypsilanti, Northville, South Lyon, Clarkston, Commerce Twp, Lake Orion, Novi, Rochester Hills, Milford, Farmington Hills, Plymouth, Chelsea, and West Bloomfield. When radon levels are found to be 4.0 or higher, a radon removal system can be installed to fix the problem. This is known as "radon mitigation" or "remediation." For more information, call 1-800-NO-RADON. According to the Surgeon General of the United States, radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer next to smoking. Michigan has radon levels that are much higher than the national average which is why testing for this dangerous gas is all the more important if you live in Michigan. Some of the known radon "hot spots" are located in Washtenaw, Livingston, Oakland County, Wayne, Monroe, Lenawee, Macomb, Hillsdale, and Jackson Counties. Keep in mind, that radon problems are not exclusive to these areas. All homes should be tested regardless of location or type of construction. To learn more, visit www.MitigationSystem.com/Radon_Ann_Arbor.html "You cannot see, smell, or taste radon gas so the only way to know if a home has a radon problem is to conduct a test" according to Jamey Gelina, a certified radon specialist with Air Quality Control, Michigan's largest radon mitigation agency. Radon test kits are available from local hardware stores, health departments, or directly from Ann Arbor Radon Remediation Services by calling (734) 971-0446 or visiting their website: http://www.Radon-Michigan.com. Radon testing is easy and inexpensive and should be a routine part of home maintenance especially in areas with known radon problems. These areas include Canton, Pinckney, Oxford, Troy, Ann Arbor, Waterford, Whitmore Lake, Fenton, White Lake, Highland, Wixom, Manchester, Bloomfield Hills, Detroit, Saline, Dexter, and surrounding Michigan communities. When a radon measurement in a home, office, school, or commercial building is 4.0 or higher, action should be taken to reduce the levels. Radon gas abatement (radon removal) is achieved via the installation of a ventilation system by a qualified radon reduction company. These companies are also known as radon mitigation contractors or "mitigators." A radon remediation system can be installed in most homes for under $800. This is a small price to pay to reduce the risk of lung cancer. More information about reducing your family's exposure to radon gas is available at www.RadonMitigation.us/SoutheastMichigan or by calling (734) 971-0446. ...read more
