I have been in two locations in 8 years. First location was next to a furniture store. They used Sign Design for a huge foam sign that was not supposed to show seams. It cracked visibly and Sign Design did nothing to fix it. I cost around $6-7k? Now I am in a new location and my landlord has an electronic sign (that costs around $40-60k). It seemed to be constantly breaking down. Has not worked since June or July? It is now impacting my business. Really think about service before you pay big bucks for a sign. Sign Design is not the only thing to think about - staying in business with a great and lasting impression means you need excellent service. I wanted to express some of my heartfelt feelings to all of the Mom and Pa shops that have closed their doors due to the economy. I also want to share with you all it is a decision that we all make to give up or step your game up and succeed and not let this economy control your business futures. I had a traditional business as well and a closed mind. I did not accept change very well. My excuse is I never had the time. If I had known I would have to shut my doors in months to follow, if I would have embraced these new concepts. Than that is my fault and not the economy. One important thing I would like you to remember in 1930 ( The Great Depression) , did you know that there were the largest number of millionaires were created. Too many people were not willing to change, the ones that survived adapted to their environment and plowed through until they reached their desired goals.
