I give Alma 5 stars because of her amzing technique, dedication, and overall achievement with her students. Classes are punctual, informative, and amazingly precise. This is my second year in this studio and already I'm moving up to Pointe work. I disagree with the negative comments, there is little that needs to be changed. I am giving Alma's three stars. The best things about the studio: All of the staff are very friendly and easy to work with. The studio is mostly clean and there is plenty of parking. Alma is fun and friendly but does a poor job explaining dance technique in a persistent, professional/mentoring manner. Her adult beginner ballet is full of women who have already taken that exact same class for 3 years. This class is more for recreation and not serious ballet students. No one wears a leotard and only a few wear ballet slippers. Most wear lyrical shoes. Class moves very quickly with little focus on actual technique - most of the year is spent doing recital work and as a beginner you are forced to learn basic techniques in the middle of a dance and not at the barre.
