I started shopping at sleepers about 45 years ago. They have helpful and friendly employees. Once when I was working the night shift. As I was going by the store I noticed the door was open. So I stopped and went grocery shopping. All the employees I saw gave me a friendly hi. When I got to the register Mark Sleeper checked me out. He was very pleasant. It wasn't until I got into my car I noticed their open hours. They weren't suspose to open for another Hour. Not one person said anything negatively to me. ...read more

Having lived in Maine most of my life, I can surely say that I miss the friendship the Sleepers' employees showed me, always felt wanted and needed when doing my groceries there, I miss the freshness of the meats, especially what we call the red hotdogs, we sure don't have that in the state of West Virginia...and then most of all maine potatoes, my gosh they are out of this world, and Sleepers always has fresh fish...Thank you for being there for the public for these many years and I hope that someday I will walk through your doors again to shop for my groceries by then I will be finally home...Thank you all again for your services to the Caribou and vicinity folks. ...read more
