About Woodstock, MD
Another of Maryland’s unincorporated communities, Woodstock is a suburb of the state’s capital, Baltimore. It sits in more than one county, namely Howard, Baltimore and Carroll Counties. Woodstock has a population of about 6,000 people. The town has an interesting relationship with nearby Granite. This is because in Baltimore Country along the Patapsco, a river, Woodstock is referred to as both Granite and Woodstock. This is because the post office in the area allows its residents to use either the name Granite or Woodstock when addressing their envelopes. One of the best places to go, either to eat or to stay, is the Woodstock Inn which is located right in town. It is one of the most beautifully renovated historical taverns. An attraction that is nearby and interesting to visit is the Emerson Bromo-Seltzer Tower. And, on the way there, you can take a trip to the state’s capital, Baltimore, and see what the city has to offer. Woodstock participates in the public school systems offered by the counties that its borders lie within. Children in Woodstock can go to any number of schools.
