Went in today with a picture of a design. The girl doing my nails argued with me about the colors in the picture, how the accent nail was done, and that she knew what she was doing. I have been going to this salon for years. It is by far one of the best in the area. They are very clean and sanitary, the owner is constantly cleaning whenever the place is not packed! I had my bridal shower there and the service was fantastic. I was very picky with how my nails look before my wedding and the owner did it EXACTLY the way I wanted it, in a very reasonable time. The price was very reasonable for the great service I received. The review down below (DAWN), I was there when the bag was returned. The owner pulled all the tags off because Dawn wanted to return the new bag back to Macy's and keep her "ruined" bag as well. Talk about scam. ...read more

I used to love going to this salon until one day they dropped a bottle of nail polish on the floor (my polish) and it exploded all over my brand new Dooney purse. They wanted to do nothing about it. I had to ask them to clean it. They ruined it with nail polish remover. I spent a week arguing with them until finally the owner went to Macy's and got me a new purse. Then she was very rude in shoving it at me and took all the tags off. I spent $1500 a year in that salon....I will surely go elsewhere. ...read more

Excellent service. The receptionist is a lovely and friendly woman. I came in a few hours before my prom and was very nervous. She calmed me down and gave me the best looking nails in a reasonable amount of time. My nail polish lasted for 2 weeks and I put my hand in water daily since I clean homes! I went here in Sept 2009, and it was just terrible. I had to wait forever which I understood, because I was a walk-in and there were only two people working, but someone else came in to work, and didn't help any of the customers. Then when it came to my "manicure," it was awful, she didn't even clean under my nails and I had to ask her to even out most of my nails after she cut them at angles. Then, I only received ONE coat of nail polish after her very hasty job. The lady didn't talk to me at all while I was there and she was very hostile. The only thing she said to me was to ask if I wanted my eyebrows done, and I said yes. I asked her to not trim the sides of my eyebrows because it makes them look straight and not arched, but she waxed it anyways and now I have bars for eyebrows with no shape whatsoever. After I left, I realized that there were still hairs all under my brows that she missed. oh- And I've had my eyebrows done at least 20 times, and this was the only time that it hurt ...read more

After seeking for many months for a manicurist in the Pasadena area that consistently does a good job on my nails, I finally found the place. Between the skating rink and the billiards room...whodda thunk!? A&K Nails, does a thorough clean job on my nails. They take their time, and the polish job has been perfect!
