Cuckhoo LOVES the Internet! Why? Well, obviously our business is a web-based one. You’re probably saying, well, duh….lol. I know I would react that way if I read the first sentence ON a web design company’s actual website. However, I’d like you to read this as if it wasn’t posted on a web design site. First, we must say Happy Birthday to the Internet. It has turned the ripe old age of 30! Our core team members share a diverse age range. For myself, I was 14 years old and watched TV in my room instead of surfing the web on my laptop, desktop, or smartphone. The exact opposite of what my 12 year old daughter is doing in HER room. I couldn’t even imagine something like the Internet could even exist. Movies like Terminator, Star Wars and the like, made we wish that those movies weren’t just science fiction but ACTUAL Science. Considering the advances in technology, movies like those will become reality sooner than we think. Instead of skimming through my full set of encyclopedias to complete a report for school, I can now look up anything I need on Wiki! Fun times. So as not to bore you too much, I will list the reasons why we love the Internet: Facebook - And the other dozen or so social media sites. To be able to connect with someone from high school who moved away is ingenuous. Who would’ve thought? Post pics of your family or whatever else you please. Youtube - I am loving those talking cat videos! DIY - Want to learn how to remove a wart with homeopathic remedies? Email - Really? No more writing letters and waiting for replies through snail mail. IM - Instant message someone from a machine? Whoa…..Skynet? Video Calling - Skype or Facetime? Being able to say goodnight to your child if you’re away on business. Insane! In a good way. Aspiring Writer? - Dozens upon dozens of blog sites to show off your writing skills! Anonymity - Say things to people you’ve always wanted to but didn’t have the guts to do so in person. Applications - I think there is an app for everything, from banking to PVP games. Google - Search anything at any time with any number of words or phrases and something will ALWAYS come up. News - Missed the nightly news? No problem!! Go to abc.com! Twitter - In a category of its own. Why? Because, we can actually tweet with celebrities! So, what does this all equate to? Well, our company is on the internet, because we love the internet - everything about it. One of the most important reasons we love the Internet is to highlight our creativity and unique skills.
