BEST AQUATIC MANAGEMENT

Best Aquatic hire students from Eastern Europe countries who know literally five words in English. As far as I know these "lifeguards" pay the equivalent of 40 dollars in their countries and get a lifeguard license without passing any type of tests whatosever. So to anyone, who's drowning in one of the pools managed by Best Aquatic, good luck and learn how to swim! ...read more

2013 ADA REGULATIONS ARE TURNING BABY POOLS INTO SPLASH PADS!!!
The new ADA Revision Act guidelines will only permit a sloped entry for a baby or wading pool entry point for compliance under the new act. The new act is completely new and therefore facilities may not be "grandfathered in" Simply because there is not a law to grandfather too....The new act is now resulting in more and more baby pools to be converted to interactive play fountains and splash pads! The conversion of one such baby pool is underway in Ocean City Maryland at the Days Inn, 22nd St. Best Aquatic professionals are converting the existing baby pool to an interactive splash pad which will allow young children to play in the water without actually swimming. The two large outdoor pools at the hotel allow children to learn how to swim with the help and encouragement of the parents. The baby pool/splash pad conversion is an economical alternative to installing a twelve foot long ramp required as an entry point under the new ADA Revision Act guidelines. Turn on the water and let the fun begin!!! For more information concerning splash pad conversions contact Best Aquatic at info@BestAquatic.com or Call Us 443-614-4789 MD 302-853-5358 DE 843-877-1537 SC How Can We Help? ...read more

The New ADA Revision Act - Swimming Pools and Recreational Facilities!
The new ADA Revision Act is a comprehensive law which prohibits the discrimination of someone based on their disabilities. The new ADA Revision Act proposed is currently on extension by the DOJ until January 31, 2013. The facilities required to comply include swimming pools, wading pools and spas. The proposed act also includes marinas and other types of recreational facilities however we are going to focus on swimming pools first. The ADA Revision Act was originally due to be enacted on March 15, 2012 and has been extended by the DOJ for review. There are several issues which have resulted in the extension. The question - Who must comply? Currently homeowners associations, condo associations, apartment complexes and private clubs are excluded unless they offer an "element of public accommodation" One concern would be that current HUD regulations require compliance with all ADA regulations... Which means that once the new ADA Revision Act is imposed it will than be adopted by HUD ( Fair Housing Act) which will then include all apartment complexes.... ...read more
