Insurance Needs It is very important to get insurance when moving. Not only will you need it for moving items safely and with little risk but you will also need to get insurance on the new home. Insurance can be purchased for both home owners and renters alike. Home owners insurance will cover the new house as well as the items inside during a fire or a flood. Renters insurance will cover your items in your landlords property. While your landlord may have insurance, it will most likely not cover your items. It would be just for his/her property. When getting a property or renters insurance you will want to take an inventory of your items. Keep this list in a fire safe box just in case. Doing so will ensure you get the most out of your insurance when you need it. You will need to make sure your movers have the proper insurance coverage in case anything breaks while they are transporting the goods.
