You pay 100% of your bills but you still end up in collections and your 8xx+ credit rating score tanked. The staff at the facility are 5 star, but not worth the health impact of working with whom they contracted to do their billing. Something changed with billing in 2016, they misappropriate your payments to other claim id's you have not been billed for yet. Your payments sit unprocessed on their end for weeks and months, the very FIRST bill you receive that matches with an insurance EOB is months later and marked final notice. The payment you make toward a specific service date they disperse those moneys toward other encounter dates instead of the claim id resulting in a nightmare to resolve. You explain all bills paid and they say no because we used that payment for two different service dates instead for which I have not received a bill for yet. Then they send you a long computerized sheet of how they applied moneys (because I quote "it is your problem to resolve we just send the bills” and they hang up the phone) of which even they cannot figure out because my total out and their total owed matched at the end. I'm pretty sure they are scamming customers knowing most do not religiously match bills to EOB's and HSA claim ID's and keep them in an organized fashion that is court room ready. They bank the patient is too sick, tired, busy, and/or disorganized and will pay again. The billing department is NOT willing to trace over phone how they applied payments so you can help them untangle the mess, the collections agency phone numbers just ring and ring with NO answer EVER during the entire hours of operation. My illness requires the use of MANY Frederick doctors and offices, this one is now the only one that is not trained in billing nor in resolving issues they created. Fortunately I have great insurance and HSA representatives that have proof I have paid all the claims and the payments have not been processed on their end or the money was applied to other than the claim ID it was intended. I’m not sure if it is legal or not for them to apply payments for one claim ID bill toward other service dates/claim ID’s or not, but it creates a huge tangled mess which has to go to collections and court to resolve at your own expense financially and to your credit rating (and for me, to my health). ...read more
