Picerne's "24 emergency maintenance" is nothing more than a number to call to complain about maintenance that is needed. If you were to call at 3 AM and tell then that your toilet is overflowing and flooding the bathroom. No one will come to your house until about 9 AM. Living at Picerne Military Housing, we have needed alot of repairs because the homes are cheap and poorly made- even the renovated ones. I used to believe that that handymen were available to help us whenever we called, but to our surprise, like i said it is nothing more than a hotline where you can complain and someone will tell you that "no one is available right now, but we will send someone first thing in the morning" ...read more

therefore you wouldnt even think that they had the nerve to pull up the carpet and look there.. she doesnt own a dog and definitely doesnt urinate on the floor so the urine stains was from the previous tenant.. to make this even better picerne stamps there logo on the back of the carpet WITH A SIGNATURE so that you cant repair the carpet yourself so that you would have to pay $700 so that Picerne can "repair" it. I call BULL it doesn't not cost $700 to re-carpet the first floor of a house that is NO BIGGER than 10x10.. Then comes the backyard.. a backyard that is so small it should not be considered a yard.. more like a patch of grass.. they tried to charge her $650 to repair it because grass is missing in certain areas (its the middle of FREAKIN' winter and we just had a snow-storm!!) she demanded to see an itemized list (always demand an itemized list!!! they will try to tell you that they "don't do itemized lists" but finally she got one.. and MAGICALLY it went from $650 to $230!! ...read more

Warning: This is a very detailed review! I chose to live in on-post housing because it was close to work and living in Maryland I did not want to be stuck in traffic going home every night- big mistake. I moved into a a "renovated" 2 BR house in Midway commons and at first the house seemed decent (very small, but its just me and my husband) then you start noticing small problems :leaking fridge, broken garbage disposal, a faucet that sprayed water at us every time we turned it on, dishwasher broke after a week, paint stains on concrete in the yard (will explain why this is so significant later). And many other little problems.. I had a friend who just moved out of picerne housing and they gaev her the hardest time. they pulled up the carpeting and found urine stains on the padding under the carpet and they are charging her $700 to recarpet the WHOLE first floor.. funny thing is that when you move in they don't pull up that carpet to show you that its clean (cont. in part 2) ...read more

I'll agree with the MSG that posted above me. There was a girl that worked there, Yukino, who ALWAYS had a bright smiling face every time I went in (She had to have worked 24/7 for like four years straight!)I don't know why she left, or if she was fired/moved on, but I've noticed that service at the class six absolutely SUCKS now. - there are over 600 kids in the school - the kids get only 15 minutes of "recess" - my child eats lunch at 10:00 a.m. - there is hardly anything available for "gifted" students - faculty is almost entirely new ... every year - kids do not have classrooms. classes are held in supersized cubicles - there are two aides for 6 kindergarden classes of over 20 students in each - kids reporting issues is often ignored by teachers (overwhelmed) and administrators (uninvolved). - my child raises his hand and waits patiently to be called on, but never is. Other kids act out to get attention and are rewarded. - other schools less than 3 miles away are way better ...read more

Of all the military bases Ft Meade has the worse customer service of all. Spent 2 hrs in customer service line at the PX, only one of the 3 knew how to do money transfers. While standing their had to endure the 3 ladies conversations with each other back and forth across the room to include them saying " I hate working customer service" and it showed! I go into the shoppette every morning mon-fri. i get a cup of coffee, a fountain diet coke, and a granola bar every day problem is they will be out of something every day. The worse being Diet coke, 3 wks at a time them will come in last a week be out again for 3 wks. Shoppette had a lady working for them when I first got here in March then her husband had to PCS and she left with him she had great customer service, the place was clean, coffee fresh, etc. Currently the personnel at both the PX and Shoppette have terrible attitudes and appears they dont like their job or want their job. ...read more

Piscerne's Patriot Ridge housing area does not seem to act upon repairs in a timely manner. When maintenance is done it is in a shoddy manner. I am currently stepping on exposed nails from a poor carpet repair. My work order stated that the repair was for exposed nails. Upon completion of the job more nails seemed to be exposed. I was badly misled and sent to my destination to find out that I had no reservation. When I got my pre-trip paperwork I pointed out the error and I was assured by Emily Hicks that she would take care of it. Two days later the paperwork was fine but she never attempted to correct the date of my reservation. When I came back from the trip she acted like nothing was wrong. On top of that I was charged for someone else's vacation also because my financial information was placed in someone else's folder. She never apologized for anything that happened and she tried to blame other people for the mistakes. I think she is a lousy business person. ...read more
