We were kept waiting for 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time even though we couldn't see any other patients in the office. When we were finally seen, Dr Dankner was somewhat patronizing to my 6-year old and even tickled him which my son politely asked him not to do again. The actually sight test took no more than ten minutes but with waiting up front and then for the dilation drops to take effect, more like 1.5 hours and then the bill was almost $300 *after* my insurance company negotiated cost. Very hard to contact anyone there and patients have to leave voice mail messages and hope for a call back. I am not impressed, even though I know some of my friends can't say enough good things about it. ...read more

The staff were unfriendly, and not at all understanding to our situation. They even lost our chart just from the time we signed in until over an hour and a half later when someone realized that we were still there, but couldn't find our chart! That was the first, but not the last time they lost our chart, we went for our 3rd or 4th visit, and they couldn't find our chart again- the chart with all the original tests and info... In fact they never found it, nor did they seem that concerned, which really bothered me since I felt that my son's progress should probably be tracked and compared to his original tests! Many people say how great Dr. Dankner is, I didn't really have issues with his treatment, but he wasn't very personable and never made me feel at ease. I was very stressed with having a 7 month old in glasses, and having a Dr. act like I was just one of many didn't help. ...read more
