The Good: The food at TJ cafe is not bad, I would say above average. Their Chicken salad sandwiches are stuffed with chicken salad and one of my favorite items. The workers are kind and sociable. The Bad: Expensive menu. Stay away from the steak and cheese the portion size seems made for those on a diet due to the small rolls. Although this site says Visa is accepted, it is not. You can use the ATM located in the café otherwise you must pay in cash. If you are like me, who rarely caries cash anymore, this is a hindrance as I am forced to either find food elsewhere or face the cost of being charged an ATM fee. Also, I have had heard from several people who frequent the establishment that they have on several occasion been over charged for items. I too ran into this problem twice. This place has the best service anywhere. Maybe i caught them on a good night but i have never had as much fun. The crabs were great and the beer was cold. It is like an Ocean City Tiki bar in Bethesda. Got take out crabs 2 weeks later. Good Stuff! ...read more
