The Brennan Law Firm was retained by me to litigate what turned into a complex civil matter with an extremely adversarial opponent. I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to deal with this attorney and another member of his legal team after losing a job and being sued by my HOA. These people do not care if you have lost a job, life circumstances, nothing! All they want is money, money and more money! I went to court in an effort to get the attorney fees lowered because of my financial hardships but this attorney would not budge. My relative is an attorney and she stated that an attorney can lower his/her fee at their discretion, so he COULD HAVE LOWERED THE FEES BUT DID NOT! I was put on a payment plan (including his exorbitant fees) and maintained my scheduled monthly payments as agreed upon. I called several times to get a letter requesting a balance payoff amount so that I could get rid of this debt and this attorney earlier than scheduled. I was told to put this request in writing and fax it over, which is exactly what I did. I did not receive the letter after waiting 2 weeks and I called them again. I was then told that they have up to a month to get me the letter with the remaining balance on my account. I KNOW what my balance is, but since I do not get receipts after payments, I wanted something in writing. That is my right. It has now been OVER a month and I have received NOTHING! I have called repeatedly to speak to someone and there is NEVER a person who answers the phone, NEVER! One must leave a voice message and is told by an automated voice that someone will get back to you within 24 hours. An attorney, Ron, did and has called me in the past to address my issues but one should be able to speak with a LIVE PERSON when they have a concern. Where is a RECEPTIONIST? Why should one have to wait 24 hours to hear back from an attorney? They certainly charge more than enough in attorney fees to employ a receptionist to perform this task! Do they wait to cash my check or bill my credit card for my monthly HOA installment plus attorney fees? I think NOT! I would not recommend this firm to my worst enemy! Do not go see this lawyer. Prays on people who are underwater with their Mortgage. Went to see her for help and got ripped off big time. The Bar should take her license. Now still in the same situation as before. She promised she can help and got nothing done. And after lots of hassle with her she called us liars on top of that. Stay away!!!" ...read more
