The place tastes like it looks.\t\n\t\nPerhaps our expectations for ""fine dining"" were mistrusted from their website. ""fine diving"" is more like it.\t\n\t\nThe waitress was wonderful throughout it all, we gave her a good tip.\t\nWe ordered at 6:15pm having arrived at 6:05, and our entrees still had not come out at 7:30 so we asked for our check, thus far, and paid and left.\t\nThe garlic bread (homemade bread) was crispy, but not very garlicky (the butter was not fresh); the bruschetta (she pronounced it correctly!) was not great - the tomatoes were of poor texture and almost canned taste, and a not very creative recipe.\t\nThe ice water was not filtered well, worcester chlorine was still yelling at us..\t\n\t\nthe table bread (homemade) was very good, but the butter was on its last legs, and the table olive oil was stale (not quite rancid).\t\nWe were in a business meeting discussion situation, thus it was not appropriate to ask for replacements for the above, altho we would have had plenty of time.\t\n\t\n\t\nA better way to have handled our situation would have been to not have charged us for the three appetizers and/or given us a coupon for a return visit in hopes that things would be better. ...read more

This is a very hip place to go. The music is good, the service is incredibly friendly, and coffee/tea/desserts are great. I emphasize on the tea because it's not your typical lipton tea. They have several different kinds of tea, including Darjeeling (my favorite), which is great if you're in the mood for your favorite loose leaf but aren't near your tea collection. It's also a great place to chat with friends or people watch. They also have WiFi. ...read more

The Bean Counter is a cute coffee shop. There baked goods are excellent but I don't drink coffee so I couldn't comment on how good or not it is. There prices are very inexpensive but for about 50 cents more you really do get what you pay for. They are located on a busy street that is great for people watching and offers a great urban feel. They offer outside seating which is perfect for a nice night out. They also have seating inside with artwork on the walls. The staff is always personable and very nice. ...read more

McDonald's
By bostonchic at Citysearch January 24, 2005
I thought McDonald's was fast food. We spent 15 minutes in the drive thru and when we finally did get our food, they told us they were out of ketchup! Out of ketchup - this is McDonald's for crying out loud. Our burgers then turned out to be under cooked. Not the place your burger should be medium rare. ...read more
