West Hyannisport is a neighborhood in the village of Hyannis, which is the largest village in the town of Barnstable, Massachusetts. The village of Hyannis had a population of 20,097 in the 2000 census, of which a fraction belonged to West Hyannisport. The area is known for being a hub of transportation, as it is home to the only public transit system in all of Cape Cod, as well as being the primary point of origin for ferry service to and from Nantucket Island.
