I brought an antique car to this company in Mid February, after he delayed it a month. It needed a lot of work to fix the floor pans and rocker panels, etc., and they were recommended locally. After leaving the car off, he said he would look at it and give me an idea of how much of a deposit he would need. We agreed that he would call me when his review was complete. He never called. On March 17, I gave him a check for $1000 as a good faith that he would be paid promptly, if he started the job. No work had been done to date. Over the next month, he consulted with another person on how to fix the frame of the car. He never told me he didn't know how to do this. He decided what to do and ordered material without consulting me. I asked when the new material would be welded in, and he said "two weeks", an answer I had heard before. Two weeks went by.
