Brooksby village could be a nice community BUT thy seem to change staff all the time. My mother had a particular aid she loved, then i come and i was told she was fired due to accusations. all the time their is an aid who says is new. i once observed that the aids are not happy and one of them told me that the head suoervisors and nurse's despise their job and don;t really care. so i think that affects quality of care. My parents lived happily here, while they were healthy. When my Mom became sick she went into Rennassance Garden. The care was awful. She was pushed around and drugged. They also do not accept Medicade so it was just a matter of time before my parents funds were gone and there would be no money left if my Dad needed care. He would be left to the poor care at Rennassance Garden. When I moved them both out because my Dad became in need of nursing care; it took almost one year to receive their entrance fee back! Erickson collected the interest during that time one over a 1/4 of a million dollars! Also, when my Dad needed 24 hr. nursing care. I was told that the nurse couldn't sleep! I needed to pay for two 12 hr. shifts at nearly $500.00 per day! Buyer be ware and get an attorney. That's how I finally after 7 months got the entrance fee back minus $11,000.00. Read the contract!
