In 1921, Morris Glaser opened Glaser Glass, moving through several locations throughout the downtown area before settling at the current location in the mid-1950's. Morris' two children, Alvin and Doris, showed an interest for the business and started working at the shop fulltime with their father. In the late 1960's, Morris went into semi-retirement but would continue to go to the shop and offer advice and experience. As time passed, Alvin took on more and more responsibility, until he gradually took over running the business. Alvin Glaser was the driving force in the expansion and modernization of Glaser Glass.
