DON'T EVEN THINk ABOUT DINING HERE� The female owner is very rude, inconsiderate, and prejudice (I'm African American). Here's my story. My friend and I went to the restaurant to try something new -- this was a big mistake. After making reservations we had to wait 15 minutes. Being Friday and payday, we decided to order the lobster -- another mistake. We were both unable to eat the lobster because if was tasteless, tough, chewy and had an aftertaste. We complained to the waitress who let the owner know we were not not satisfied for the reasons stated. Our food was taken to the back (i assume the kitchen) by the owner who returned to tell us she disagreed with us and there was nothing she could do. She offered no apology or discount on our $125.00 bill (not including the tip to the waitress). How could you take our full plates away and not offer a discount??? We are two middle-class working women who wrote this off as a loss...The waitress was apologizing for the owner's behavior. If you are looking for good service and good food, please, I plead to you to run and not consider this restaurant to dine in.

We All Ended Up Sick
Thought we would head out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, but ended up with an awful experience. The wait time for our order to be taken, food to be delivered, and our bill to be taken was extremely long. (Our waitress had forgotten about us.) We were not told that the specials did not apply until after we had ordered. I ordered the tortellini carbonara which was overcook and mushy. I was not told that the restaurant was out of bacon ( a main ingredient in my dish) until my dinner was already served to me. Everyone in our party came home ill after eating at Luby's. We will never go back. There are too many excellent restaurants in the Tinley area for us to risk getting sick and having terrible service.
You Can't Go Wrong Here
Nestled along the Metra Railroad Tracks is Lavery's Pub. It's a cozy dining establishment with a terrific menu. I've been there many times and have never, ever been disappointed with either the food or service. While waiting for my friends, I've sat at the bar and the service was friendly. When my friends and I have something to celebrate, we always meet at Lavery's. No need to go anywhere else! Quiet enough to carry on a conversation! Cobbini Salad is Delicious!
