You have to realize that when you are suddenly attacked, your instincts take over, your mind goes blank and you’ll be frozen in fear. You may even throw your hands over your head to protect yourself, but at that point it’s too late! You’ve become a victim and you’re at the mercy of your attacker. This response is completely normal, even for big guys who find themselves in a compromised position. How can you protect yourself? What can you do? Does it matter if you’re young or old, male or female? How long does it take to learn? Can I realistically do this? These are all great questions and the answer is… YES, you can do it. The problem is finding a program that works! You’re no expert so how are you supposed to know if one program is any better or any worse than all the others? My name’s Jeremy Haas and for the last 28 years I’ve had one over-reaching goal in my life – to protect my country, my family, and my friends. I guess you could say I have an overdeveloped desire to help and protect people. It’s not just a job; it’s my passion. I’m a combat veteran with a decade of active duty military service. I’ve achieved advanced levels in many different martial arts disciplines, and I’m currently a full-time law enforcement officer. I’ve been extremely fortunate to be able to travel all over the world and train with many of the foremost authorities in self defense and personal security. Automatic Response Combat Systems (A.R.C.S.) is especially effective because instead of trying to work around that involuntary response, or train you out of it, we embrace it and use it to our advantage. No matter how stressful the situation is, you’ll always be able to use your automatic reflex self defense training. It’s easy to learn and remember and you don’t have to spend months training. You will learn A.R.C.S through explanation, articles and short online videos. It requires very little actual practice time but a lot of mental preparation. If you get in the habit of reviewing your self-defense strategies before you go out, you’ll always be prepared and since the videos are on the Internet you can watch them wherever you have an internet connection, without having to keep track of and protect a pile of DVDs.
