Pine Prairie is a village located in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. Schools children in Pine Prairie are served by the Pine Prairie Elementary and Pine Prairie High Schools. While visiting Pine Prairie be sure to attend the annual Boggy Bayou Festival. For outdoor activities there is the Crooked Creek Recreation Area which offers fishing, swimming, and camping. You can send a postal money order to them through mail. To send a newspaper, book, or magazine it has to be from the publisher like Amazon.com. cannot be sent directly from you. To visit, you will have to fill out the visitation form so they can run the background check on you which can take 3-6 weeks. This review is rated 1 star only because there is not an option for a zero, or negative stars rating. I went there to visit my nephew. My sister-in-law completed and submitted all the necessary paperwork (multiple times) for me to be an "approved" visitor, I was turned away. Even though she and her son have already visited several times, they were also turned away and not able to visit. The very rude female attendants on duty said that nobody in our group was an "approved" visitor. One of the female guards/attendants was Corporal Russell. They are obviously able to turn people away at their own sole discretion if they feel like it. It was very apparent that they enjoyed this little "power trip" more than anything else they did this month.
