Richard's Disposal Inc is supposed to be in the business of sanitation, but when they don't pick up garbage for days and it overflows, then they are responsible for trash all over out streets. It appears that Richard's is in the business of bribery and scams. They were involved in the Stan Pampy Barre scandal in which Alvin Richard bribed a school board official to secure a contract to the tune of $525k.We need to do way Richard's Disposal altogether. They are old corrupt contractors from the Nagin era and have no place in our city today. Mayor Landrieu is right in trying to cut the trash budget. We pay significantly more compared to cities comparable in size. Now Alvin wants to sue the city for even more money. GET THEM OUT! ...read more

Other reviews are kind of right that these guys are fast and know what they're doing. I came in with an exhaust I had purchased for my car and they put it in on in about 45 minutes, with no waiting at all for a lift. But, when the bill came to an even $200 which was frankly shocking. When I asked why it was that high, I was told that they charge by the job and that's just what they charge. \t\n\t\nI can understand an up charge when a customer brings in their own parts, but no matter how you slice it, my job works out to a shop rate of $250/hour, truly ABSURD!! Not sure if they just decided to victimize me when I went, or it was a slow week. But, there's not much you can do when your car is being held hostage...
