I was training at a different martial arts school, but I was unsatisfied with the training and the attitude there. So I walked out on a prepaid contract. I considered forgetting about martial arts completely. Fortunately, I found Tiger Rock. Now that I have been a student for two and a half years, I really believe you couldn t find a better place to learn Taekwondo. Weekly training makes a huge difference, but so does a good mindset. The instructors are there to build up their students, not their own egos. This doesn t mean they're soft. Not a week goes by that I don't have something I need to improve, and they make us work hard. However, I never feel like they are bullying me or looking down on me. Training, no matter how challenging, is always a positive experience. And because the instructors are both highly skilled martial artists and genuinely motivated teachers, it s easy to see them as positive role models.
