I have been tattooing in Lake Charles for 10 yrs. Ive been licensed since the state started regulating tattooing (around 2002) so Im very familiar with all the requirements. We have renewals and building inspections atleast once a year. But here is the insane part.... I have never had to show my work or abilities as an artist in order to get a licence. Its not a requirement. Its not something they regulate. They arent interested in whether I can draw or not, or render a good clean tattoo.
