BEWARE!!! At first glance, these guys appear to be on the up and up and the apartments appear to be very affordable. I have lived in their apartments for over a year and have seen the good and the bad. I started out living in a two bedroom townhouse that required a $300 deposit and $485 per month. This was a so-so deal with the condition of the apartment. I had roommate problems and he moved so I requested a one bedroom. I moved to a one bedroom and expected to get a $100 refund from the first deposit, instead only getting $50. The other $50 was considered a cleaning fee which was bogus because they weren?t in that apartment 1 hour to ?clean?. I had that apartment spotless. The one bedroom was worse than my expectations. The air filter in the intake vent had not be changed it seemed in 10 years with ?? of thick dust stuck to the vent itself not to mention the air filter. The carpet was filthy from years of lack of cleaning with black spots all over it. The bathroom and kitchen had not been painted. This was apparent because of the nicotine that still ran down the walls especially in the bathroom. The air conditioner was broken half the summer and when they would come to ?fix it? it was broken the next day. When I moved, I left this apartment ten times cleaner than I had found it?Walls washed, nail holes patched and floors as clean as they could possibly be. After two months I finally got what they considered a refund of my deposit? $145. They said $55 was for ?cleaning and carpet.? What did I do, pay for new carpet? Over one year, I was swindled out of $105 by these crooks. Two other people, who moved out before I did, also had problems getting their refunds and unfortunately were screwed like me. IF you want to live in the slums of Richmond, go for it. If you want to be ripped-off by 3 crooks, go ahead and budget it because that is what you are facing if you move into a place like this. I DO NOT recommend. ...read more

I have rented from Foxglove now for a little over a year, and have gave my 30 day notice. The neighbors are always partying and blowing there car horns all hours of the night. They drop cigarette butts and garbage in our doorway and I have found cigaretts that had burned to the filter on the hood of my car! I got a notice on my door for the garbage saying if we didn't clean it up they would fine us. They drop beer bottles on the pavement and sometimes I have to sweep up the glass before I can go to work in the mornings. There's fights all the time and people screaming, with all the traffic in and out you would think they are drug dealers. The apartment above us had a water leak which means it rained in ours. That month OUR water bill showed overages. We had the water company come out and found there were only one meter per two appartments! So we got payed the neighbors water bill for Foxglove. I have also complained and they were rude to me as well. ...read more

I came to these apartments with promises of utilities paid and no problems. I was faced with neighbors that were aweful, which isn't necessarily the renters fault. However, they through beer bottles and cigarette buds in our yard. When we complained to the managers, they were rude to US. The next day there was a note on our door fining us for having stuff in our yard. After the first month, they began to charge for utilities, claiming we used more than we were suppose to. We ended up being charged literally thousands of dollars from these people, and being talked very rudely to constantly. It was unbelievable and was an extremely hard situation to get out of. Do yourself a HUGE favor and STAY AWAY! ...read more
