I am new to the area and looking to soya my 6 year old a German Shepherd. I have looked into getting her spayed in the past but being am on a limited income due to being on disability has made it difficult. When I did have a little money she had a huge cyst on her back that needed to be removed and I was going to spay her then but the original surgery for the cyst was over $250 and I hoped they would give a break on the spay since she was already under anesthesia but it would have still cost me another $200 for the spay so I had to decline at that time. The SNIP clinic is an awesome organization ran by the KY Humane Society. They offer VERY affordable spay and neutering services for dogs and cats. After calling multiple vets and hearing that modern day neuter costs over $300, I thought there's no way. The SNIP clinic offers it for $45 for a dog, plus recommends the $2 extra injection of pain medication. The facility is very nice and the people working there are very pleasant.
