To the aforementioned diabetic dog: I happen to have known this dog personally &I know that when the dog was diagnosed w/diabetes in Dec.'08 she also had a severe case of pancreatitis. The female veterinarian understood your mother's financial constraints&even found a donated bottle of insulin to help save costs. It was recommended that the pet stay overnight because she was in diabetic ketoacidosis&it was your mother who opted to take her home. She was informed of the gravity of the situation&the clinic was VERY helpful to her needs. The pet did improve on the insulin&by the end of Jan.2009 the glucose was under control. At each glucose check visit your mother was only charged to check glucose&not for the medical progress exam that is supposed to be charged due to her financial constraints. She never mentioned euthanasia until her July2009 visit, which is in fact when the pet was euthanized. At no time was she turned away by the veterinarian&encouraged to continue treatments at ungodly costs! ...read more

My mom's 7 year old dog developed severe diabetes which didn’t show till Christmas of last year. After 7 months he had not responded to insulin, was drinking four times as much water as he should, was incontinent, and lost all elasticity in his skin – leaving every bone exposed. I seriously doubt his kidneys had more than a couple months left in them. After finally making the decision to take the dog in my mom was turned away by the veterinarian, making her go home and contemplate what she has decided to do. She returned a couple days later and once again he attempted to make her take the dog home and continue trying whatever treatments for ungodly amounts of money. This clinic is severely out of touch with reality. I am a huge animal lover but with what they try to charge along with their love for running tests and “trying” different things, this clinic will wring your wallet dry and make you feel guilty for giving up when all your doing is giving in to reality. ...read more

I have lived in several places in the U.S. and have had many veterinarians take care of my pets. All the doctors are "top-notch" and I would trust my pets to any of them. It's a great veterinary practice! ...read more
