About four years ago or so, we received appraisals from Princ Appraisal on some land that was left to us from our parents in Russell and Barton Counties. At the time we were told that soil and farmland appraised at around $1,250 an acre and pasture last appraised at around $800 an acre. Have land prices gone up since then? If you want a unique handmade Kansas item then you have to stop at Kansas Originals. I love that they have a whole different selection of things that you wouldn't see in any other store. My favorite items are their vintage goat milk soaps and their wide selection of Kansas made food items like Mr. Bacon BBQ which is also one of my favorites. It's a great place to shop for gifts or souveniers. I really like that they also make gift baskets. I can pick out some items and they will put it all together for me in a beautiful basket right there in the store while I wait! They met every expataion and need! They carry a very hard to find beer called batch 19 brewed by coors. When i arrived the beer was ready for pick up and ready to be purchased. They ordered in 4 extra cases for me without even asking for anything but my name. I talked to 2 diffrent people they were very kind and very helpful. I will go back. ...read more
