First time home buyer tax credit end is near.  You have to close on your home purchase by Nov. 30.  NOW is the time to act.  Normal closings take on average of 30-45 days.  So do the math... you should have your contract signed by Oct. 15th.  Just to claify a few things,  "first time home buyer" is pertainting to anyone who has not owned a principal residence during the three-year period prior to the purchase.   If you owned a home before 10/06 but sold it, you would qualify.  Income limits are $75,000 for single $150,000 for married for full credit.  Incomes above these amounts may still qualify at a adjusted payout.  Don't hesitate, with historically low interest rates, market attitiudes, and the up to $8,000 tax credit it is time to take advantage of buying in today's market.  Help stimulate the economy and cash in on this opportunity! ...read more
