Penokee is an unincorporated area in north-central Kansas. It is part of Graham County and lies on state Route 84 south of the junction with U.S. Highway 24. Ben Chadsey is the founder of Penokee. One of the best places to visit when you are in Penokee is Sheridan State Fishing Lake approximately 15 miles west of Penokee. Local businesses include Chassis Champion Race Car and Frontier AG Inc.
