McCarthy Collision was a preferred vendor with our insurance company, so we went into it thinking we would receive great service. We were so hugely disappointed. Our car took almost an entire month to be repaired (3 weeks after the parts were in) and it was fairly minor replacements. We never received calls to be updated on the progress and when we called to check on the car, we were always given excuses as to why it was not complete and never something as simple as, "Sorry to inconvenience you." When my wife made a surprise visit to grab documents out of the car (2 weeks after it had been there), it was sitting in the back of the lot untouched and the service man had to ask several people where it was even located because he was clueless. So much for being a preferred customer. We felt completely walked all over and taken advantage of. We will never refer this center to any friends or family members. ...read more

I can't say enough about the service my cousins received when they brought their van in to McCarthy Chevrolet. It had been running hot, the airconditioning wasn't working, and there were problems with the brakes. My cousin is a preacher in a small Kansas church and they had just had a baby with heart defects so they have been at Children's Mercy Hospital for the past month driving back and forth three and a half hours to see their other 3 children. Needless to say, they are having severe money issues. After hearing what they were going through, Ken told the owners and when my cousins talked to him the next day they were told that McCarthy's was taking care of everything. New radiator, fixed the airconditioner and brakes, oil change, etc AND picked up the tab !!!! (and gave them use of a loaner car while theirs was being fixed).
