Employers who hire a new employee who has worked less than 40 hours during the 60-day period prior to the date of hire do not have to match that employee's social security for the remainder of 2010. This applies to all eligible employees regardless of their full or part-time status. It makes no differnce if they are a part-timer working for minimum wage or a high ranking officer.
