This company poorly installed a geothermal open loop HVAC system in our new home and also did a very poor job on the duct work. They disregarded the installation manual with regard to water quality and after only 3 years the system completely failed. There are numerous refrigerant leaks in the copper lines and the compressors. They refuse any wrong doing resulting in a financial loss to us in the amount of $12,000. I have had five past home inspections and this was, by far, the best! The inspector (Kelly Wilson) is very detailed and gave me information that was never discussed in my other inspections. I like the idea that he is certified in home, mold, and pest inspections. This is like have three inspections for one great price. Can you give negative stars? Like below there are people in my family that always go to Matt's, the funny thing is that things keep going wrong. How is this place still in business, it is because he does cheap work, so people think they are getting a great deal...however a month or so down the road something else goes wrong. Never, and I repeat never go to him for electrical work on your car, looks like I am not the only one that has had trouble with this. Supposedly I needed my whole car rewired, but low and behold after Matt's did the work, I have more trouble then when I brought my car in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even if it is a little more expensive. While there are not alot of good places in Portland, look at Places in Berne, or Albany, there are actually honest car shops still around, unfortunatly Matt's Garage is not one of them. ...read more
