We are bringing a piece of the legend to Lakeville!!!!

On May 3rd a rare and beautiful thing will be happening in Lakeville IN! Legacy's Lucan will arrive!!!! I had been drooling over Lucan ever since I started visiting the Merrimac Alpacas website. Over a year later, hearing Ted&Megan say we could add him to our herd made our day!!!! Luc offers beautiful, crimpy and bright fleece with Royal Baby fineness. That gorgeous fleece covers his strong, solid boning on a compact frame. His phenotype can talk the talk!! His genetics can walk the walk though!!! Sired by the great Accoyo, 4Peruvian Legacy, Luc offers his excellence to our females and yours! Legacy set the record as the highest selling alpaca, not once...but TWICE! The last purchase of 1/2 interest sold for $750,000 and made Legacy the first million dollar alpaca!!! Being the son of THE Legacy is enough to turn any alpaca breeder on but it doesn't stop there with Luc! His mother has a phenomenal family tree all by herself! Her sire, EastWind's Andino won first place and Color Champion at the 2001 AOBA Nationals over a highly competitive white group of males and he received a 50 out of 50 fleece score from Dr. Julio Sumar who commented "This alpaca is magnificent." Andino was sired by Accoyo 4Peruvian Pachacuti and is the grandson of Accoyo Ppperuvian El Moustachio. Andino's excellence is no accident! Luc's maternal grandmother brings in even more excellent bloodlines that are hard to find as she is sired by Accoyo Ppperuvian Auzengate who was exported to Australia shortly after coming to the US and was a highly influential alpaca there winning many awards and siring many award winners. With only 14 Auzengate offspring in the US, his bloodline is a rare treasure to have! Luc's ancestors include many award winners but one of the most important things for our breeding program is fineness. His genetics are packed with Royal Baby and Baby fine fleeces that last and last and last! Luc is off to a fantastic start and we expect him to follow in the big footsteps of the star-studded path his ancestors have set out before him. You can view Luc's webpage and detailed family tree at:http://alpacasofalagaesia.com/Lucan.htm Feel free to stop by and see him. A very special offer on his initial breedings will be coming soon! ...read more
