At approximately 5:16 pm on Tuesday 9/4/2012, I reluctantly purchased a pair of black Lacoste shoes from Sham's Inc. for $85. Prior to buying the shoes, I told Sarah, the owner, that I normally only buy Pumas, because they are the most comfortable shoes for my feet. Sarah convinced me to buy the Lacoste shoes. When I tried the shoes on, I tried them on on the carpet, and they felt comfortable. I walked out of the store, wearing the shoes, onto the hard (but clean) mall floor. Upon walking a few steps on the mall floor, the shoes were hurting my feet, and I immediately turned around to return the shoes, literally within 5 minutes.Sarah said, “We don’t give refunds”. I said, “You didn’t tell me that”. Sarah said, “you didn’t ask”. I bought an alligator wallet for my husband 2 yrs. ago. I was late in shopping, and this was the only store that helped me get the wallet for xmas. Every place else I tried was only able to get it to me 2-3 weeks after xmas. The owner of the outpost got it to me by the day after xmas. So, for my hubbys stocking on xmas day I was able to print off a picture so that he knew what he was getting. It worked out perfectly and I will always shop this store. I was actually really surprised that this bridal store received such good reviews. I actually had a very different experience. Firstly, it was a day after my engagement and with my mom being in town she wanted to take me dress shopping just to get an idea of what I like. My one piece of advice, NEVER walk into this bridal store without an appointment! I have never been snubbed so obviously in my life. The sales lady made it very apparent that we were a huge inconvenience to her when all we wanted to do was take a look at what they had to offer. I was ready to leave, but my mom asked if it was an inconvenience if we took a look. Just mentioning the word "inconvenience" perked her right up for about 5 minutes. Let's just say I was willing to spend $2000 on the perfect dress and I would travel 100 miles to avoid Sophia's Bridal even if they had the same one. Everyone here is telling the truth! The Meridian St location is where we met this lady and weeks later the store was vacant with no follow-up address. That was a year ago. By the time we caught up with her, she said she had to move due to building issues. She moved to another location and AGAIN, less than a year later she's nowhere to be found, she has our money, and not answering her the number she gives for her business. If I could give this store zero stars I would!! I love TJ Maxx, but I will never set foot in this store again! My experience happened in customer service entering the HomeGoods side. I walked in to an empty customer service center due to the bad weather. This poor excuse for a customer service associate asked me with an extremely rude voice, "DO YOU NEED SOMETHING?!?" My smile completely faded from my face and my jaw dropped. I then kinda smiled thinking she didn't just say that and said, "Yeah, is this where you do returns?" She gave me such a disgusted look. She said I guess and started DUMPING my bag on the counter. From this point I was so shocked but managed to ask for her name. She said, "Why do you need to know?!" This happened 3 times! I was in the Active Duty Army and I been around the world and back, I have never been in any store that did what they did! The reason for 1 star is because negative is not an option My sister & I went into this store because it had real cute cloths in the window. We asked where a certain shirt was, and the girl looked stunned as she said uhm we only have small sizes! She took us to the rack and another employee says we do not have large sizes. We look any way and found a size large, my sister got it down, we went to the dressing room and read the policy which says if you damage clothing you must purchase it. We continue to go in and the other person says no you can't try that on did you read the policy? We said yes as she continued to say you can not try that on I can see right now it is not going to fit you, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings but if you rip it you have to buy it. Well I thought I would only fall in love once until I found my dress! I just bought my bridal gown at Sophia's tonight and am so happy. I have been shopping for 6 months and everything looked the same! They had alot of different styles that i didn't see anywhre else that actually fit me too (size 12-didn't know it was going to be so hard). 2 girls helped me and both of them knew alot. One girl actually ppulled the gown I bought- I never would have tried it on my own. This was the best experience I have had anywhere. This happened 3 days before my wedding. She is a con artist. She needs to be locked up. She turned a happy occasion into a nightmare. She disappeared and has a lot of lies to try to cover herself but all she does is catch herself in her web.
