My business, Steve's Sport's Photography,is a big part of my life, and it's good to give back. Every year we donate time to numerous charitable events, including [Blackford County Little league,Hartford City Middle school, Warren Baseball League 13 to 17 year old Boy's and Girls, Warren Basketball League Junior High to HighSchool;. We are at present time working on purchasing a Greyhound bus to donate the use of for our church's Youth Group and are planning to offer the use of it for local sports clubs not funded by the school system. Finally, we're very active at our local [school, church, etc.], providing volunteer time and attending meetings. With a local business, it's important to not just serve the community, you should be part of the community as well!the reason We got in this business is that I have had three major back surgeries and am limited as to what I can do and this works out great. I also write sports and take pictures for the local newspaper(Newstimes) and have started a support group for chronic pain which is of no cost to anyone who wishes to attend. (Every Monday evening 5 to 7:30pm in the Media Center at Hartford City Middle School) this is my 25th year being involved in youth baseball.We have a website for sport's pictures at http://steveort.lifepics.com. Also we are now starting to set up at local sporting events with photo printers and laptop computers to sell sport's pictures and also make picture cd's and dvd's on the site.We are not in this to compete with other local companies we sant to work with them and offer something different and refer people to them for what they do. Sometimes we do overlap in business however that is not our intention if we do not have the business we want to help promote other local companies in thes business. ...read more
