Black Dog Pub has a friendly wait staff and decent menu options for typical bar food. However, they offer a BBQ that is to die for in my opinion that enhances their pizza and wings. I thought their veggie wrap was extremely bland but my husband loved his burger. Three times in a row we've waited over 30 minutes for the food to make it to the table. The first two times, we thought it was a fluke and the staff was apologetic. Five months later, we tried them again and once again we waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. My order was incomplete and it took the waiter two more trips to the kitchen to get everything the menu described. This time, the waiter did not apologize, no comments from the manager - - nothing. That seems to indicate the wait staff and management has become accustomed to the clientele's frustration and it doesn't bother them anymore. Good Morning to whom ever this may concern, I am a Very loyal customer. As well as alot of my friends. I always have a nice time, and enjoy myself when I am at your establishment. At times a couple of co- workers and myself even go to Wrigleys for lunch. A couple of weeks ago I tried to enter the the bar and a bar tender (female) after the cop at the door did not even ask me to see my license or my husband (familiar faces) as we walked in. And she yelled she's not allowed in here. So My husband and i just turned away and and walked out. I did not want to be ashamed. My husband and I were meeting two fellow couples there. I had to have my husband lie and call the couples to tell them that I was not feeling too well. And have fun, and maybe some other time. So I ask may you please contact me to see what he problem is. The food for this place is great, the chicken wings are awesome. I highly recommend the double dipped BBQ wings on 10 cent wing nights. They are crispy and full of great sauce. Although I would suggest ordering them in small batches so you continually get them warm.
