My grandmother moved into Georgetowne Place retirement 6 months ago and our entire family has seen a happier more carefree person in her and we are extremely happy with Georgetowne Place Retirement! The food is wonderful and the staff is upscale and professional. Don't look anywhere else in town! I live 20 miles away but it's well worth the drive for her happiness. Park center has been politically funded(HUAAC)backed by the most profitable industry in the US, and has yet to be able to provide conclusive evidence of their ability to rehabilitate the mentally ill, despite a 22 million dollar a year budget. The majority of their clients return to hospitals, have repetitive relapse symptoms, and continue drug usage in spite of their preventative programs. Patients are being held captive in involuntary life commitments and have shown no progress, despite a responsibilities to do so, while remaining in patient for over a decade. No cures have been developed, though pharmaceuticals are "The Centers" drug of choice. Patients may take upwards of 20 medications a day, many instances against the will of patients, that all claim both improvement to an illness, as well as the possibility of more severe side effects including dementia, Parkinsons, and death.
