I guess you do get what you pay for. I usually get glasses from my eye doctor, but I wanted a larger frame selection. The vision from Eye Care Express glasses was much worse than old prescription. Distance never clear no matter what manipulations. After confirming Rx with my doctor, I learned that ECE does not use the high-quality lense brand I'm used to. Their standard is quite mediocre. And they didn't use the special lense (still inferior to my old ones) that they had promised. After 8 weeks of hassle, I was fed up and asked for refund of $100 down payment. Sure-- no problem. Except for the 20% restock fee I'd have to pay. Not good enough. These people are always polite but are unable to solve the problem having been trained to simply hand-off customer to someone else. Great stall tactics. Inferior product unless eye Rx is simple/standard. Don't know about the other quick/cheaper eye glasses places, but this one is not reputable. ...read more
