After years of fighting the VA I finally hired a lawyer and I'm glad I did. Woods and Woods helped me through the entire appeal process which took a long time but it wasn't their fault. I really didn't have to do much once I hired them except talk to a doctor for a report and my case manager kept me up-to-date on my case. I really don't have any complaints. This union is sitting by and watching Lean process take out jobs and make them egronomically impossible and unsafe. But they say they can't do anything. They could if they would just make the engineers see what is going to happen. You take 3 jobs and combine them into one and see how many injuries you get??? Poor quality and poor attitudes(if they could get any worse). Then they decide to not file a grievance on behalf of 500+ laid off workers. Someone has interputted par.105 as saying that an employee had to be working as of Jan. 1st. It only states that employee must have their 850 hrs in from previous year.
