About Earl Park, IN
The Benton County, Indiana town of Earl Park is located in Richland Township on the eastern edge of the Tall Grass Prairie. Part of the Lafayette, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area, the region is renowned for the abundant streams and rich black topsoil which make near-record crop yields not uncommon in this part of Indiana. The recently-completed Benton County Wind Farm, a special point of local pride, provides clean, renewable energy to over 35,000 homes in the area. Earl Park supports a variety of agricultural and industrial businesses, including G & G Pork Farms, Schulte Farms and Suiter Farms Grain. Earl Park students are ably served at the elementary level by the Prairie Crossing Elementary and Sacred Heart schools and at the upper levels by the Benton Junior and Senior High Schools. The Earl Park Community Park offers camping, playgrounds and shelter tents as well as meeting, reunion and banquet facilities. The annual Earl Park Fall Festival, held each year during Labor Day weekend, features a craft fair, flea market, Bluegrass music and concession stands serving a different specialty dinner every day.
