WOW just went there yesterday and I will never return. Horrible wait time!!! The place was practically empty and I had to wait at least an hour, and when the food finally arrived it was awful. We ordered a Philly cheese steak and fry's. The bread was soaking wet and the fry's were cold. We also ordered a Cajun Walleye sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. The breading on the fish was not even hot very bland and boring and the side dish wasn't even ready. We just sent it back and ordered a pizza which was very small and made me sick. I live in the Chicago area, however I often commute to Rockford for business. Stone Eagle was recommended to me by a dear friend, and though I tend to stick with restaurants I am comfortable with, I chose to venture out and try something new. I was throughly empressed with the generosity and special attention of the owner, Jim Vitale (he personaly greeted us at the door!), the knowledge and courtesy of the staff members, and the decor was absolutely outstanding! My guest and I chose a bottle of the house Merlot, and I was astonished to find that we had the option to re-cork the bottle and take it home, seeing as though we didn't finish it.
