I live outside Chicago and my daughter goes to Augustana College in Rock Island. She calls me at the first bad cold snap of the year to tell me that her car would not start. I told her to find a Pep Boys or something of that nature and have her battery checked out. She went to the Advance Auto Parts in Rock Island. She did not catch a name but she told me she was helped by an elderly gentleman who checked out her battery, and even though she was a young woman, he told her the battery was fine and she just needed to drive it around some just because she has not been driving her car a lot. I knew he could have just told her she needed a new battery, but he said she didn't but did state if she still has problems, she should just come back. I admire his honesty and I told my daughter that if she does have problems, to go back, as I will if I run into problems and in the Rock Island area. I highly recommend them. ...read more
