Hometown was recommended to us by a friend so we went there looking for a dining room table set. We had a great sales experience, they even let us take a chair home overnight to make sure it worked with our color scheme. That's when the problems started. We had multiple problems with delivery, including damaged furniture and chairs. They did replace all damaged equipment with very little hassle but it took multiple calls and shipments before we succeeded. Problem #2- Part of the table (from China) had Powderpost Beetles in it. Eggs can lay dormant for up to 6 months before showing themselves. When I called to talk to the owner/ manager, he would not believe that it was shipped that way and I never heard from him again. Problem #3- The top of the table is now peeling and we no longer have a smooth finish in places. This table is 16 months old and already is starting to show aging. Bottom line- Great service through the sale but the quality of the furniture (suppliers for sure) is inferior. I will not shop there again. ...read more
