I also am not sure if the other two were talking about the same dr. My 12 y/o daughter began sneezing one day NON STOP....brought her to the pediatrician numerous times to no avail, tried numerous medications with no results. She sneezed even in her sleep. We were referred to Dr. Gavani as the pediatrician brings his two asthmatic children to her and said she is the absolute BEST. She thoroughly examined my daughter, took an extensive history...not that there was much, she had never been sick or had allergies, nor does anyone else in our family. She said in nearly 25 years she had never seen anything near as bad as my daughter's condition. She was super kind and compassionate, and did the first round of allergy testing, set up an appointment for the second round and started my daughter on two meds the other dr hadn't given her and OMG, within a couple days I almost had my daughter back. A week later we had the second set of tests and she adjusted the meds and my daughter went for many months of shots every week, now we are down to every 2 weeks, eventually it will be every four. But she had the problem solved pretty much right away. We have never waited anything that I would consider an unacceptable or unreasonable amount of time for a scheduled appointment. Sometimes with the shots, going on Saturday morning, we have had to wait, but that is to be expected. Everyone is there on Saturday morning! We also ONLY go to the Palos office so I wouldn't know if there would be a problem with transferring records. But she has always been very friendly, nice and professional. She has also been really awesome with meds because our insurance changed co pay schedules and there is just NO way we can afford the nasal spray she wants our daughter on, she said don't worry about it and has given us tons of samples. I HIGHLY recommend her. She knows what she is doing and it tells you a lot when a well respected pediatrician brings his own kids there. Actually one of the other pediatricians brings her kids there as well.....that's a good sign to me! ...read more

Horrible front desk, very rude! The doctor was okay, quick 10 min visit. Medication given was not that great, she also gave me expired samples (they expired 1 year ago!) After giving detailed history of medications I was on before I was prescribed something completely different that did not work, I called her office and she refused to change my medicine. Needless to say I found a new doctor and feel 100% better. Don't waste your time ...read more
