I had an ablation (which I would not recommend to anyone, but especially not if you have had C-sections, tubal ligation, or ovarian cysts) through another doctor and developed side effects of blood-filled tubes and cysts on my ovaries. Had surgery with another doctor to take care of pain on the right and then suffered all year do to continued problems on left referring pain to the right. The other doctor was going to do a total abdominal hysterectomy as an open procedure with up to 8 weeks recovery. Dr. Gratkins was able to do as a closed (laparoscopic procedure) despite all my adhesions and scar tissue. He does the latest and greatest techniques and helped me quickly when I was desperate to get it done to help with my father during my father's last days. Could not recommend more. ...read more

Dr. Gratkins is the best, I've gone to him for everything since I was 18years old. He was doing clinical work at U of I and my first annual was painless and he makes me feel comfortable right when he walks in the room. He's up on all the new procedures and when something is amiss the way he talks about it is calming. I'm lucky to have found him - and so will you be. He did tests I was not aware of.Double charge the insurance. I called the office to explain they promised to call.back instead a collection comp. called for the money! I paid them without any effort but they charged me $70 collectionfee! I informed The BBB about performing unnecessary tests w/o telling me, w/o consent, double charge the insurance company The BBB asked for arbetration but they refused! .Hewill rib you off with hidden charges. You aren't his #1priority. He asked the lab corp of America to perform tests. They waived the charges.They dont know me but who delivered my baby gave me his back for$.Thedoctor&staff did not hi the baby he did not looked@my baby! No after surgery follow up which he got paid for! He gave strong antibiotic that affected the baby.I was aneamic for 2 month during my pregnancy and I figured this out in the WIC clinic.
