Their salesperson recommended a certain so-called _____ Quality Construction. The company never finished the egress windows they started besides promises to do so PLUS a written contract & 2 yr warranty on labor. 7/22/11 1 egress window failed. The flood resulted in $10000.00+ damage. I called Menards to let them know about their contractor. The asst manager cared more about telling me that they didn't screen their referral board and it was my problem NOT Menards. We had bought all our bathroom remodeling, windows, etc from them. We will not do so again. I did visit Menards. One dept mgr let me know the particular contractor had been removed from the board for years for the same kind of problem. A Menard's salesperson told me that Menards had too many salespeople putting up anybody who wanted on the board for Menards to be responsible. Tell that to my kid who is sleeping in the livingroom and the bank we had to get a loan from to help START REPAIRING THE DAMAGE. ...read more
