Ace Iron & Metals Inc
By bengrundy June 18, 2013
These people are great, they treat you fair and are nice and easy to deal with. Don't go to the other scrap dealers in town, this place is the only real deal! I got quoted a higher price from someone else and they didn't deliver. Ace has always kept their word. They always pay me right away, and they pick up my material usually the same day I call! ...read more
Atlas Supply Co
By JolietJames at Citysearch September 07, 2010
If you are not a business -stay away from this place. It is cheaper to get your steel delivered to a residence from anywhere else than to pick up your steel at Atlas. A twelve inch piece of 4" x 6" tube cost my buddy $50. The last time I ordered DOM, I got it delivered from out of town for less than half what Atlas wanted just for the steel. It's frustrating having a local business raping the public like this. ...read more

Why Rubber Mulch?
WhyRubber Mulch? Are you sick and tired of mulching year after year? Is the annual cost of wood mulch a financial burden? Do you look at your landscape in late August and wonder why you took the time and expense to mulch? There is an alternative to using traditional Wood Mulch. Long-lasting, durable RhinoMulch is the answer! Mulching yearly or every other year is expensive and wastes time. RhinoMulch is recycled rubber made to last and made in beautiful colors. RhinoMulch will save you time and energy yearly since you apply it once to your landscape and are done mulching. No more wood mulching with insects and infestations when you purchase Rubber RhinoMulch. Earth Friendly Many people are looking for eco-friendly alternatives to every-day, households tasks. Rubber mulch is the answer. You will see rubber mulch used in many home improvement shows on television and on YouTube because there are so many attractive advantages to using rubber mulch. Millions of tires are being thrown away every year and piling in landfills, making them a breeding ground for mosquitoes and dangerous diseases; and in turn, destroying our environment. However, there is an alternative to discarding these once useless tires—recycling them into Rubber Mulch for playgrounds and landscapes! Because Rubber mulch is made from 100% recycled tires and is non-biodegradable, it is a very eco-friendly, cost-effective way of mulching. One of the many benefits of using rubber mulch is mulching once and being done. You will not be replacing rubber RhinoMulch yearly like you have to do with traditional wood mulch. Variety ofRubber MulchGrades The idea of using rubber mulch for your landscape might seem a bit peculiar; however, it has an uncanny resemblance to wood chips. Because the rubber mulch looks like typical wood mulch, you have to feel to believe it! Several gorgeous, natural –looking colors are available to help customize your landscape to your specific taste. Some of the colors to choose from are Natural American; a deep dark Bark Brown; a traditional Rustic Redwood; and a natural looking Cypress. Not only are there several colors to choose from, but there are a variety of rubber mulch grades to choose from, so you can get the precise look you have always wanted. Rubber RhinoMulch grades would include: a rock-like nugget called RhinoMulch 7/8"; a smaller stone-like nugget called our Premium RhinoMulch 3/8", and Shredded RhinoMulch which resembles the natural wood look. The Advantages ofRubber Mulch When using wood mulch next to your house, it can attract insects and the despised termites that destroy your home. Despite the fact that fire is a more familiar harm to North American homes, it is reported that termites actually cause more property damage yearly. Wood mulch promotes termite infestation as they settle into the wood and feast on the food they crave so much. Wood mulch soaks up the water, making it an easier target for mildew. Also, wood mulch has a tendency to breed "artillery" fungus which can stain cars and nearby houses; and when dried, stays forever. It also keeps the plants from receiving the vital hydration. So, why are you using termite-infested wood mulch next to your valuable home when it could actually be destroying it? If you are worried about any of these wood mulch problems, Rubber RhinoMulch is the solution. Rubber RhinoMulch does not contain any of the nutrients that these harmful insects thrive upon; therefore, rubber mulch is non-biodegradable, and lasts a lifetime which keeps the bugs away from your house. In addition to not attracting termites and draining the water well, rubber mulch allows fertilizers and water to penetrate quicker and easier to the root of the plant, which will conserve water, saving you time and money. Rubber RhinoMulch will stay vibrant throughout the years; however, wood mulch within months will fade because of sunlight exposure. For all of your landscaping needs, the clear mulch of choice is the eco-friendly, non-biodegradable Rubber RhinoMulch. Cost Factors Considering Rubber Mulch is non-biodegradable, it gives the longevity everyone desires for their landscape and requires only the single, time-consuming installation everyone dreads. Our ten year limited color warranty ensures the color will last. Wood Mulch on the other hand, will disintegrate and lose its color within a few months time, needing to be repurchased; and the dreaded installation will continue over and over again. In addition to repurchasing and reinstalling the wood mulch, more expenses might be incurred due to termite damage. ...read more
